Biography: I'd love to be at the reunion, but we will just be starting our school year. The district frowns on taking Fridays and Mondays off.

After teaching in Petoskey for three years, I married Jerry and we went to Kalamazoo to attend WMU. Jerry got a doctorate in math and I got my masters in Reading. Steve was born a year before we left for Middletown, Pa.
In 1986 we moved to Horseheads, NY. Jerry began teaching at Elmira College, a small private liberal arts college. I began working for the Horseheads Central Schools and have been a reading specialist for 10 years. I will have to teach in a wheelchair before I am eligible to retire.
(unlike those of you who kept teaching. I envy you!) If New York does not quit coming up with more state tests and in turn more remediation requirements for me, I may just have to get out or have no sanity left. I also taught a graduate reading course at the college
for three summers. I took this summer off so that Jerry and I could take a course on volcanoes in Hawaii. It was fantastic. The course was five days. When it was over, we did the normal tourist stops.

Our son graduated from Susquehana Univerity in Selinsgrove, Pa. in 1999 with a degree in Musical Theatre. Since then, he has been working for various regional theatres.(New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Indiana, and now Virginia.
